1. What sizes do the sheds come in?
5’ wide Yardmate comes as -
5’x3’ (1700L x 1000W x 2000H)

2. What is the shed made of?
The shed walls and roof panels are made from rigid VINYL which is totally maintenance free. Additives are added to ensure the panels will not warp, bend, peel, crack or yellow under the sun. For strength the roof and wall panels are reinforced by galvanized, metal profiles.
3. What are the advantages of vinyl versus metal?
Vinyl is a durable material that will not rust, rot or dent and never needs painting. It lasts for years. Metal rusts and dents while wood needs repainting and will eventually rot. Vinyl requires no maintenance other than occasional wipe down.
4. What are the colors available?
The sheds come in a neutral color that is best described as ivory or eggshell.
5. Does it come with shelves or hanging hooks?
DuraMax does not offer any shelves. Shelves can be built from the ground up. Items can also be hung from the column supports however care should be taken not to hang too much weight especially in heavy snow areas.
6. If I want to add shelves what is the best approach?
Depending on the weight you want to place on the shelves, you can either place the shelves on screws mounted straight into the metal columns or for heavier loads you can build the shelves up from the floor of the shed.
7. Where are the sheds delivered to? Can they be sent to my home?
The shed can only be delivered directly to your home if the address is in Perth. In all other major towns and cities the Shed will be delivered to the nearest Mainfreight Depot. Once the shed is at the nearest terminal to your home, you will be contacted via the carrier to make a time for picking up your shed. We are in the process of organising door deliveries in other cities. The website will be updated as soon as that happens.
8. Do we assemble the sheds?
No, this is a homeowners kit, the shed arrives at your home ready to be assembled by you. The instructions are geared towards an average homeowner.
9. Can I paint the shed?
We do not recommend painting the shed. If you insist you should use paint made specifically for PVC. However, paint will require future maintenance and eliminate the advantages of our durable and maintenance-free vinyl.
10. Can I tear down the shed and build it again?
You can tear down the shed and build again. You would need additional plugs, pins, and washers.
11. What Do I build the shed on?
You need a level flat surface on which you can build the shed.
12. Do any of the sheds come with a complete floor?
Yes, our 5’ Yardmate series comes with a complete floor that can sit on most surfaces including grass or soil, as long as the floor is relatively level.
13. Can I build the shed on an existing concrete pad?
Yes, you can build the shed on an existing concrete pad provided it’s level.
14. Do you have a warranty? How Long?
We have a 15 Year Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects. While the shed will not pit, corrode or yellow, the color may shift slightly based on the intensity of the sun in your area. All parts are covered by our warranty and any defects will be replaced promptly.
15. How long does it take to assemble?
Assembly varies depending on the size of the shed and the number of extension kits added. Allow 1 to 2 hours for the 00911 Yardmate 5' x 3' shed.
16. Does the shed leak?
The shed will not leak, but after installing the roof you will need to apply silicone along the running edges of the roof ridge caps and around the washers on the roof plugs. To avoid seepage around the bottom of the shed, apply silicone to the outside or inside of the “U” channel that runs along the bottom of the shed.
17. Can the shed be locked?
Yes, the Shed does have a provision for padlocks to be fitted. However, the padlocks are not supllied with the shed.

1) What are the properties of Cedar?
Cedar is an extremely beautiful and durable timber. It has high insulating value, its own natural oils and a delightful aroma which give this unique species natural resistance to rot and insect attacks - without any added chemicals! It is grown and harvested through environmentally responsible planning and re-forestation programs to ensure forests for the future and timber supplies in perpetuity.
2) Is it easy to install?
All out garden buildings are constructed in pre-made panels which are precision built in our factory. Hardware and instructions are provided to give you an effective and simple construction method that forms a rigid and robust structure.
We would say that for someone who has never done it before, allow 3 to 4 hours for installation. The initial portion, which involves assembling the frame could be a two person job. Alternatively, you may choose to use our professional installation service
3) What material is udes for internals of the Shed?
The internal framing of our buildings are constructed from locally produced kiln dried pine, structurally graded and visually checked to ensure the highest quality materials are used in our buildings. The bottom wall plate is treated pine (Arsenic free!) for longevity.
4) Are the sheds insulated?
Our wall panels include Protectafoil between the framing and cedar weatherboards. This forms a breathable protective barrier to stop condensation or moisture penetrating the walls, giving you a superior product.
Protectafoil is available in shed roofs as an option.
5) What sort of floor is needed?
A plywood floor is an optional extra with this shed. You can place this shed on firm ground - Crushed Rock, Pavers or Concrete Slab. Anchor brackets and bolts for fixing the shed to a firm ground (fixed pavers or slab) can be ordered seperately.
6) What material is the flooring?
Flooring is fixed to (Arsenic free) treated pine bearers gives you a solid and stable floor. A sub-floor including stumps is also available for unleveled sites or extra floor clearance.
7) What material is the door?
Our sheds and workshops have a solid plywood door with a grooved face, heavy duty hinges and optional chrome lockset. The door is weatherproof. Our studios have a 4 paneled 'house type' door with locking handle.
